The 7.0-magnitude earthquake jolting Ya'an City in southwest China's Sichuan Province on April 20th, 2013, has resulted in serious damages and casualties. At this critical moment, BGI hopes to help the affected areas and make a contribution. BGI announced to provide free technical services for the earthquake-stricken areas, including disease surveillance, emergency pathogenic microorganisms detection, casualty identification, HLA(Human Leukocyte Antigen) matching detection of the injured people, and the first batch of 10 million doses of blood transfusion safety and pathogen detection diagnostic reagents.
